Magazine mockups are a great way to visualize my product from different angles.

Here  downloaded free PSD templates( from freepik) and apply them into the magazine.

I used Adobe Photoshop to edit them.

Final page

Draft page

As you can see, there are significant changes in the Editor's Note Page compared to the earlier draft. Since the adjacent advertisement page on the left features a strong red color, I decided to soften the overall look by changing the background of the image to an ash tone. To maintain consistency with my design style, I also used my standard Pristina font to write the welcome message at the top of the page.

There are significant differences between my first draft of the feature article page and the final version. I made these changes to make the article more engaging and appealing to readers. Some of the key changes include adding a large-font text box and wrapping it with surrounding paragraphs to highlight important points and draw the reader's attention.

In my initial draft, the article was laid out in two columns. However, in the final version, I used a three-column layout. This change makes the content easier to scan and more visually appealing, helping readers stay engaged and making the article feel lighter and more organized.

Other Analysis

Drop Cap in Opening Paragraph

The first letter of the opening paragraph is enlarged and styled as a drop cap.
This immediately draws the reader’s attention to the beginning of the article, giving it a professional and polished look.

Use of Multiple Images and a Profile Picture

I included range of images, including a personal portrait and photos of handmade products, are included.
This brings the story to life. The reader can connect with the subject (Migara) and better understand the context of the article. also product images show the creativity and craftsmanship.

Decorative Title

The title “The Beauty of Rebirth” uses a decorative, elegant font (Pristina Regular), which I have consistently applied across other pages as well.

I used white background in the content page as it has several important advantages. It creates a clean, minimalist look that enhances readability and allows text and images to stand out more clearly. Also, a white background acts as a neutral canvas, making colors appear more vibrant and photographs sharper, which is especially beneficial in a craft magazine.

I experimented with color to use effectively to differentiate sections like like blue for creative content titles and light purple for regular features, making navigation easier.
